Let us be honest, we are all wrestling with how to act right now. In that wrestling, some of us are battling faith, fear, and how to view others that we don't agree with. From a faith perspective I believe God has something to say about all of it. He can remove this virus. But, he might not. So how do we decide which he is up to? Hopefully this well help.

Coronavirus is in full swing and we are all declaring, "Let`s be the church!" and "The church isn`t a building" and "Nobody can shut down the church!" But, do we really know what those things mean? Do we really know what they will cost us? We shouldn't be content to just sit in our pajamas today and watch a service and call it `church`. Now is the time to act! Hopefully this post helps you understand what that looks like.

Sometimes we wrestle with the idea that God is good and yet allows evil people to use fear to control others. How could he? What should our response be? Most of us aren't quite sure how to reconcile these two realities. This post might come off as defensive. Maybe it is. But, there is great truth in the Bible that should help us in our current circumstances.

Normally you go to bed thinking about sheep. This morning I woke up thinking about sheep. The Bible refers to us as sheep. The Bible refers to Jesus as the Shepherd. The Bible gives some people the task of shepherding. But, this job description is so limiting, it can't possibly refer to the job description we've given the people we are calling our spiritual shepherds (pastors) today. So what does it mean? And why do we think pastors are elevated above the sheep in some way?

Most Americans are so blessed with their day-to-day lives that we can get by on common sense. And, so we do. The problem with common sense is it buries the voice of God deep inside of us where we can legitimately claim we aren't sure if it is Him speaking or not. Do you wrestle with knowing the voice of God? I hope this article will help you draw closer to him!
